This is sifted white ash made from rice husks. One bag contains 38g.
Store the ash in an airtight container. After using, sift through a fine strainer to remove any un-burned incense and lumps, then return it to the airtight container. Over time it will darken and develop it's own odor.
To freshen the ash, line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and spread the ash out in an even layer. Bake it at 350 to 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. This should decrease or even eliminate the odor. With proper care it should last indefinitely.
